EU to focus on energy sector in new possible Russian sanctions

BRUSSELS, Feb 17 (PRIME) -- The energy sector will become an important part of the E.U. sanctions against Russia is the situation in Ukraine deteriorates, High Representative of the E.U. for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said on Thursday following an informal meeting of the E.U. countries’ leaders.

“The energy will be one of the most important parts of this package (of sanctions). But I cannot disclose its contents to you until the moment to apply it arrives,” he said.
